Should I buy genuine or non-genuine? (Moet ik echt of niet-origineel kopen?)

Hi,
I was wondering today if I should buy some actual lego GBC balls. I have been collector Bionicle Zamor spheres so far but recently found out that they don't fit down a 2 stud gap, which is a let down . So now it's real lego basketballs-soccer balls or non-genuine 14mm balls. The genuine balls on bricklink used are $2.55 AUD (1.55EUROs) whereas the non-genuine are $0.19 AUD ( 0.12EUROs).   

I could sell the genuine balls (probably) for the same price as I have a bricklink store but I don't really care about the non genuine ones as they 14mm and there are lots of good reviews saying that they are good for lego GBCs. Plus they are colourful

So if any of you have advice that would be great!

Ik ben altijd wel van de echte versies. Is altijd een prijzige aangelegenheid maar ja LEGO is nou eenmaal niet goedkoop.

Ik denk dat je op een LEGO forum altijd hetzelfde antwoord zal krijgen. Maar uiteindelijk moet jij doen wat jij leukt vind want het is jouw GBC en jouw portemonnee. Dus als jij die gekleurde balletjes leuker vind en ook goedkoper zijn, vermoed ik niet dat er iemand is die de LEGO politie op je af gaat sturen want het is niet illegaal  .

Yeah, my budget isn't that big a guess so I'll probably go with non-genuine. I think my money can go to better uses then the authentic balls

Voor thuisgebruik zijn de fake ballen wel geaccepteerd in de GBC wereld, juist omdat de echte ballen duur zijn. Voor events zijn ze niet geaccepteerd en ik zou ze ook niet gebruiken voor video's. Dus dan kom je toch terecht op echte ballen. Bij LEGO BaP (voorheen B&P) zijn ze het goedkoopst als ze beschikbaar zijn, momenteel alleen de oranje dacht ik maar helaas niet in alle landen.

I've always wanting to order on B&P but I never know the postage costs, or is the postage free( oop's! googled it's a flat rate of $15.00AUD) Also I won't be going to events so I won't need to worry about that.

I'll see what I can find on BaP.

EDIT: Just looked, its looking about $18.00AUD postage on bricks and pieces. I don't know, bricklink's no cheaper either. Here's the fake ones I was looking at :

Het indrukwekkende aan een GBC vind ik toch eerder het technische vernuft van het apparaat dan de waarde van de balletjes.
Je kan een fortuin uitgeven aan officiële balletjes maar de enige meerwaarde is dat een paar mensen op het internet je goedkeuring geven.

Volgens mij gaat hier iets fout in de vertaling van het bericht van Tomassio geeft juist aan dat je de goedkeuring van andere mensen niet nodig hebt  .

The Quercetti marbles a lot of (starting) GBC-ers use. Nobody expects you to have a full set of official LEGO balls when you are starting out with GBC, also not in video's. The Quercetti's are widely accepted but are a tiny bit smaller and a bit heavier than the LEGO balls.

 They are like the ones I'm looking at getting but cheaper although there is postage charges and two tax fees for me in Australia.

 Yeah, I've heard they are strict at events like that, even though they are 14mm. I guess you could still bring your GBCs and rely on other's balls. Even then the only event here in my life time didn't have a GBC, there were only a few layouts (hmm, wonder if I could show a GBC there)

Wanneer je de enige bent met een gbc valt er vast wel iets te regelen op voorhand met de organisatie. Wanneer Lego het niet zelf organiseert zullen ze wel een oogje toe knijpen, en wanneer ze het wel zelf organiseren kunnen ze misschien ook wel korting of gratis verzending regelen. Een gbc op hun event heeft ook voor hun een toegevoegde waarde.

Hi recyclego! I just wanted a link to your portfolio to see your GBCs. Always inspiring.

Anyway I actually received the non-genuine balls for free, is they were 2 weeks late, they gave me a full refund. Hoping to test them tomorrow on Saturday, but they are exactly 14mm. Look good. At least they were free so if they don't work...
